Al-Qadr

Basmala, before verse 1: بِّسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. Verse 1:

   إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ1

   Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.

   Report an error, Verse 1
2. Verse 2:

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ2

   And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?

3. Verse 3:

   لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ3

   The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

   Report an error, Verse 3
4. Verse 4:

   تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ4

   The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.^{note 1955}

   Notes, Verse 4

   [1955] Bringing the exact measures apportioned for everything by Allāh in the course of the coming year.

5. Verse 5:

   سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ5

   Peace it is^{note 1956} until the emergence of dawn.
