Al-'Asr

Basmala, before verse 1: بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. Verse 1:

   وَٱلْعَصْرِ1

   By time,^{note 1985}

   Notes, Verse 1

   [1985] An oath in which Allāh swears by time throughout the ages.

   Report an error, Verse 1
2. Verse 2:

   إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ2

   Indeed, mankind is in loss,

   Report an error, Verse 2
3. Verse 3:

   إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ3

   Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

   Report an error, Verse 3
